What does a day in the life look like from our clients perspective?

At Moving Mountains Bx, a typical day for a client receiving ABA therapy would begin with a 1:1 session with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in the clinic. The client works on socially significant goals, such as improving communication or managing behaviors. These sessions are tailored to each child, ensuring personalized attention to their unique needs.

The clinic provides various services, including parent training to help families manage behaviors at home, behavior assessments, and functional behavior analysis to identify the causes of specific behaviors. As the day progresses, clients might engage in skill-building activities designed to improve daily living skills or participate in behavior assessments if needed.

Throughout the day, parents are supported and kept informed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), ensuring that everyone is aligned on the child’s progress and goals. Sessions are designed to be flexible, welcoming, and inclusive, fostering a safe environment where children and families feel supported.

Overall, the clinic focuses on helping children grow and thrive in a structured yet nurturing environment while offering parents the tools they need to extend this support at home.

Social Skills & Activities

At Moving Mountains Bx, social skills and activities are crucial for our clients as they foster essential communication, cooperation, and interaction abilities, which are key to their success in everyday life. By participating in group-based social skills training, clients have the opportunity to practice interaction in a structured environment with peers, enhancing their ability to navigate social situations confidently. The purpose of community helpers day is to give our kids the ability to view the world in a positive way and see all they could and can be, demonstrating what they are capable of when teaching them the importance of how all community helpers make one community.
